Vasstulan

Vasstulan 1100 is located on Dagalifjell 1100 metres above sea level east on Hardangervidda, and is one of the highest located sleeping accommodations in the south east of Norway.

Vasstulan is only open for bigger group arrangements, but we have apartments and cabins available as well, for prices from NOK 1100,- pr night.

This is a great opportunity to experience the nature in all its strength and glory during summer, autumn and winter. Vasstulan is centrally located between Kongsberg and Geilo, with RV40 passing close by.

The place has a family friendly atmosphere where our guests decide the pace. From Vasstulan you can head out in light high mountain terrain, go fishing, bicycling or try rafting in Numedalslågen amongst other. Langedrag Villmarkspark, where you can see wild animals in natural settings, is only an hour-long drive away.

In the winter you can put on your cross-country skis right outside the door. The web of tracks on Dagalifjell contains 60-80km of nicely prepared and marked tracks. Linked to tracks in Dagali and Rødberg we can offer a total of 150km of tracks, but weather precautions must be taken.

Within the radius of 10km we have three alpine parks available: Dagali Skisenter, Uvdal Alpinsenter and Uvdal Alpinpark. If you want to try out the slopes in Geilo, it’s only 34km away.

The cabins

The cabins are located right outside the hotel, with an undisturbed entrance and beautiful view of the mountain. The cabins are approx 50 square metres and contain living room with TV, kitchen, two bedrooms (one containing a queen size bed, and one with a family bunk bed), a loft with two additional sleeping places, a bathroom with shower and toilet. The kitchen has most ordinary kitchen supplies, and contains a stove, refrigerator, dish washer and a coffee machine. Cleaning detergents and supplies are also available in the cabins. After stay-wash out, bedclothes and towels are not included in the price. Unfortunately we cannot allow dogs in our cabins.

The apartments

Our new apartments, with room for 6-7 persons, are located in the first floor in our wing. They have their own entrances from outside stairs and gallery. The apartments contain bed rooms and loft, kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dish washer and coffee machine in addition to common kitchen supplies, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a living room with a dining area and TV. After stay-wash out, bedclothes and towels are not included in the price.
