How rafting trips are carried out
All participants meet at our Rafting Centre at Hallandstunet on the opposite side of Dagali Hotel. A safety brief is given and a declaration form is signed befor
e the participants receive and change into wetsuits, shoes, helmet and floating vest. You need to bring a towel, fleece/wool underwear or bathing clothes.
We load up in the bus and drive for 15-30 minutes, depending on the level of the trip. On the bus you will be presented to your guides for the day, a walk-through of the trip and other information.
At the takeout point your tour guide will give you an instruction regarding river safety. The participants are split into smaller groups, and are assigned to a boat and a guide. The guide on each boat will give instructions regarding paddling and cooperation in the boat. Then the trip down the river begins!
You will experience rapids and tight underwater ravines, you are guaranteed to get wet!
If you see our photographer along the river bank, put on a happy face. The bus driver will follow us all the way down and take pictures. He also works as our safety on land. The stay on the river will last for 1-2 hours depending on the level of the trip.
Back at the base you can have yourself a nice, warm shower. When you are back in your dry clothes you can get your heat back with a nice cup of coffee or tea and have a look at the pictures that was taken, shown on a big screen. It is possible to purchase a CD with pictures from the trip.
Our staff will at all times make your safety the number one priority during your stay with us. All our guides are handpicked both national and international. We combine the local knowledge and experience of our Norwegian guides with the experience of our international guides to ensure the best in safety and enjoyment.
We purchase all our equipment from the leading manufacturers in each subject. For instance, as an important security detail, it is important for us that our rafts are specifically made to match the local environment so that they are appropriate for the river we raft on. The helmets are approved with a protecting inner- and outer shell. The quality of the life vests is also fundamentally important, and therefore we get our vests from Extra Sport in the USA. In addition all wetsuits and shoes are standard equipment on our rafting trips.
